LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
The Carol Martin Gatton Academy: Western Kentucky University houses the Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky. The mission is to offer a residential program for bright, highly motivated Kentucky high school students who have demonstrated interest in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Center for Gifted Studies: Located on the Western Kentucky University campus in Bowling Green, Kentucky, The Center for Gifted Studies provides exciting educational opportunities for gifted young people, rigorous professional development for teachers, and support for parents of gifted young people.
Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics: The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics is a dual-credit residential high school for academically exceptional Kentucky students. The Academy is housed on the campus of Morehead State University.

WKU Summer and Weekend Programming for Gifted students
Grades 1 - 6
Three weeks of Saturday courses offered on campus at WKU each fall and winter.
Grades 1 - 3
A week-long summer day camp.
Grades 3 - 5
A week-long summer day camp.
SCATS (Summer Camp for Academically Talented Middle School Students)
Grades 6 - 8
A two-week summer camp for residential or nonresidential students.
VAMPY (Summer Program for Verbally and Mathematically Precocious Youth)
Grades 7 - 10
A three-week residential summer camp.
TIP-KY: The Talent Identification Program of Kentucky (TIP-KY) offers above-level testing to assess where students are academically so educators and families can help guide students to relevant resources, appropriate enrichment programming, and other services that will challenge and encourage growth.
The Doctors Mody Service Learning Competitions for Young People: In 2020, Drs. Bharat and Bharati Mody established The Mody Endowed Fund in Service Learning at The Center for Gifted Studies with the hope of passing on their lifelong commitment to serving their communities and sparking a passion for volunteerism among high-achieving young people.
IdeaFestival Bowling Green: a one-day celebration of ideas for middle and high school students and interested adults. (Annual 7th and 8th Grade Field Trip with EC G/T)
Travel Abroad: Spring Break and Fall Break trips to selected cities and countries of cultural and historical significance for eighth grade and high school honors students and interested adults.
