Hello! I'm Mrs. Emily Cassady. I am excited to be a part of the 2nd grade team at South Edmonson! 

I was born and raised in Bowling Green. I went to college at WKU where I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and my Masters degree in Elementary Education. I am currently perusing my Rank I in foundational literacy. I taught in Warren County when I first graduated from college. I am very happy to say that this my 20th year of teaching and my 13th year of teaching at South Edmonson! I love being a bulldog!

I live in Chalybeate with my husband Adam. Our sons are grown and off on their own. I have a fur baby, Gunner who we love to spoil! We love to travel as a family and have a goal of traveling to all 50 states. We're halfway there! I also love sports! I am an avid UK basketball fan and Clemson football fan. I also love watching NFL.

I absolutely love being a teacher. I previously taught 3rd and 4th grade at South Edmonson, but this is my 1st year to teach 2nd grade here.  I actually taught 2nd grade my first to years of teaching and am looking forward to doing it again! I feel very blessed to be able to do this job!
