Importance of Theatre

Theatre education provides students with many 21st century skills. It enhances their communication, critical thinking, and collaboration/social skills while fostering creativity, empathy, and leadership.

Students who are involved in theatre are more likely to have higher academic achievement and improved attendance.

Meet the Director

Ms. Robinson began teaching in the 1900s, and has been at Santa Fe High School teaching theatre since 2009. In 2023, she went off to learn and grow as an educator and administrator. She is returning this year as Director of Theatre Arts!

As a producer, director and actor, Robin has done every job in a theatre, and has both acted and directed professionally. Some of her favorite projects as an actor are: Sonya, Vanya, Masha, Spike (MASHA, NSU Playhouse, Guest Artist), Charley's Aunt (CHARLEY'S AUNT, Jewel Box *winner, best actress in a featured role*), and The Mystery of Edwin Drood (CHAIRPERSON, Upstage Theatre).
