Begun in 2009, the New Student Mentor Program pairs an incoming student with a seasoned ENO member. The older mentor is there to help the new student with anything he or she needs, from simple day-to-day routines like “where are the Kleenex” to helping practice scales or new sheet music. Most importantly, the mentor relationship helps our new students quickly feel comfortable in high school, helping them find the place where they belong, in the Edmond North Orchestra!
Any second-year ENO member is eligible to be a mentor, and ALL FIRST YEAR STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE A MENTOR. Please contact a council member with any oversights.
Join the ENO’s Remind texting service by texting
“@enosym” to 81010 for Symphony Orchestra
"@enophil" to 81010 for Philharmonic
"@enochamber" to 81010 for Chamber
"@enostring" to 81010 for String Orchestra.
Reminders of concerts, fundraisers, and deadlines will be sent throughout the year. Standard messaging rates may apply.
There is also a Orchestra Council Specific Remind as well. Follow this remind to get updates and information about ENO Social Events:
"@ENORCH " to 81010
Throughout the school year the ENO have a number of social events planned.
Some our put together by Mr. Pourtorkan and the Orchestra Boosters but most are planned and executed by the Orchestra Council.
There will be pool parties, Halloween Parties, Secret gift exchanges, Movie Nights, Games Nights and so much more.
The Orchestra tries to have at least one if not two social events per month.
Keep checking the calendar for upcoming events.
Every Orchestra student is welcomed and encouraged to join us at all events.
There is no better way to build relationships in our ENO family than these fun and exciting events.
