2023 Starts With You Foundation
SWY Foundation is a nonprofit organization, established in 2020, created to financially support Black students who are seeking higher education and/or entrepreneurial goals.
The 2023 application period opened on February 18 and closes on April 26. Applications and additional information are available on our website, www.swyfoundation.com.
The SWY Scholarship is open to Black graduating high school seniors who are seeking higher education, as well as vocational and entrepreneurial opportunities. Applicants seeking the scholarship must creatively express how obtaining this scholarship will help them define their legacy and positively impact others; applicants seeking to start their own business must also submit their business plan.

Many of our nation’s brightest minds and potential leaders go undiscovered by top colleges due to social and financial barriers or even a simple lack of information or support. That’s one of the reasons USC Bovard Scholars was founded seven years ago.

Positive Energy Scholars
Since launching the program in 2018, we’ve awarded 12 scholarships – totaling $720,000 – to high school seniors who commit to attending college in Oklahoma or Arkansas. We annually award three $60,000 scholarships. Recipients are often first-generation college students, and the scholarship relieves a significant financial burden for families for whom college might otherwise be unattainable. Each year, the OERB awards up to $500,000 to students majoring in petroleum-related fields at the University of Oklahoma (OU), the University of Tulsa (TU), Oklahoma State University (OSU) and Oklahoma City University (OCU). This includes incoming freshmen. Petroleum-related majors include: Petroleum Engineering, Geosciences, and Energy Management.
Each OERB Petroleum Scholar has the opportunity to be awarded up to $17,500 in scholarships throughout their college career.

Oklahoma’s Promise allows 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade students from families meeting certain income requirements to earn a college or technology center tuition scholarship. Students must also meet academic and conduct requirements in high school. The initial income requirement now takes into consideration the number of dependents. INDIVIDUAL SCHOLARSHIPS
The Hearing Loss Association of America Central Oklahoma Chapter (HLAACOC) has offered Scholarships each year for the past six years to students with hearing loss who want to advance their education. We are continuing this program for the Fall Semester 2022.
The Mission of our Chapter is to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss by providing information, education, support and advocacy. We have an informational meeting each month, September through May and a modified schedule in the summer. Specific information can be obtained by accessing our website, oklahomahearingloss.com.

What does the S-STEM scholarship have to offer?
