Ony Huffman
Ony is the Literacy Specialist Interventionist at Chase Lake Elementary. This is her 13th year in the Edmonds School District. She spent the first 9 years of her career as a special education learning support teacher. She then moved into working part time at the district building as part of the Learning Support Team while also working part time at Chase Lake Elementary as the Title 1 reading teacher.
“Throughout my time working for the Edmonds School District, I have learned that not all students are the same and many of them learn in different ways.
My passion is figuring out specifically what each child needs to feel safe and successful at school. I truly believe that all children can learn. We just need to figure out how to reach them.”

Megan Lashley
Prior to coming to Edmonds School District, Megan was a teacher in the Seattle School District. She has experience as a 3rd grade classroom teacher and an EL teacher working with kindergarten and first graders.
Besides teaching, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family and friends. Her two young children keep her busy and on the weekends; she likes to be outdoors or go on mini road trips. To relax she enjoys cuddling up with a good book and a cup of coffee.
“Working with Chase Lake students brings me great joy; I value my role working with families and watching students learn and grow!”
