Move 60 Tennis

Do you want to meet new friends? Are you interested in learning a new skill? Have you thought about someday joining your high school tennis team? Register for free tennis lessons for students in the Edmonds School District. Tennis is a fun, social game that can be played throughout life. This class is meant for beginning players to learn tennis fundamentals. The class will be taught using drills to improve skills through a variety of tennis type games and activities.

Players will need to wear appropriate tennis shoes, bring a water bottle and a tennis racket if you have one. Rackets are available to borrow if needed. Masks will be required.

Move 60 will be offering free tennis instruction this summer for students in grades 7-12. Each session will be Monday - Thursday for two weeks, starting on July 11 . All sessions will be at Lynnwood High School. The class will be taught by Chris Gonzales, a USPTA certified and seasoned coach. Chris is also a Physical Education teacher in the Edmonds School District. Coach Chris will communicate any date changes with players and families. Registration will be first come, first served and limited to 24 students per class. Students may register for one session only.

Beginning Tennis

No prior tennis experience is necessary! Middle and high school age students will learn fundamental tennis skills, including how to hold the racket properly, forehand and backhand strokes, and serving, as well as the rules of the game and appropriate tennis etiquette. Students will participate in fun drills to develop new skills.
