AAC Introduction

AAC stands for "Augmentative and Alternative Communication." It means anything that is used to help a person communicate in ways besides speaking. AAC can be picture symbols or communication boards, sign language, gestures, alphabet boards or typing, or high-tech devices like an iPad with a communication app.
