ChessBase Online Accounts - Free 90 day account (Please use your Edison School G-Mail accounts to register)
The ChessBase online accounts are primarily intended for students in grades 7 through 12 with Edison School G-Mail accounts.
This website provides an introduction to the common lessons and ideas in chess. It is organized in a progressive manner accessible from the menus at the top of each page progressing from left to right.
Each grade will be assigned a Google Classroom with lessons and games appropriate to that grade. Although lower school grades will not have individual students assigned to the class, the teacher can sign in as a grade 4 "student" and use the lessons and assignments posted in that classroom.
Edison Chess Website - Under Construction
Portions of this website are currently being used in conjunction with Google-Classrooms and chess classes at Edison School. The fundamentals of learning chess will be added to the website over the course of the year. It is intended to provide a way for people new to the game (students and parents) to learn the basics. This will help students new to Edison School make a smooth transition into the chess classes.
