Science Olympiad

The purpose of Science Olympiad is "to bring science to life, to show how science works, to emphasize problem solving aspects of science and the understanding of science concepts." The team of 15 students (grades 7-9) compete in 23 different events. The event categories include Life, Personal and Social Science, Earth and Space Science, Physical Science and Chemistry, Technolgoy and Engineering, and Inquiry and Nature of Science. This engaging competition develops teamwork and cooperative learning strategies while promoting high levels of achievement and a commitment to excellence.
