Meet Mrs. Kittrell

My name is Crystal Kittrell and I cannot wait to meet all of you. I have been teaching in Edina for 12 years.  This is my 9th year in Kindergarten. I have B.S. in Foundations of Education and M. Ed. in Elementary Education both from the University of Minnesota. I have two wonderful daughters Tami and Krychell. Tami, 17, will be a will be a freshmen in college at University of Kansas, Lawrence, Rock Chalk! Krychell, 16, will be a junior in high school.  

My husband, MaShawn and I celebrated 19 years together this past year. We love to travel, go on bike rides, walks, and going to sporting events.

I have truly found my passion in kindergarten. I love being able to make real and lasting connections. I feel building deep connections with students is the heart of my job and makes teaching so much more meaningful. Being able to give students the opportunity to explore, learn, and build social skills through play is amazing to watch. I really enjoy being able to bring real world experiences in the classroom, that stretch their imaginations and allow them to start thinking outside the box.
