The purpose of a writing center is to provide individualized support for any student or staff member who is engaged in the writing process. We work one-on-one with writers to support their writing no matter what stage of the process they are in. Student coaches are trained to encourage writers to develop as independent thinkers. Coaches work with writers to develop techniques for brainstorming, writing, revising, and editing. Coaches work on a strictly confidential basis and allow writers to remain in control of their work by leading conferences centered around the writer's questions. 

We hope The Writing Center at EHS will become a natural step in the writing process for all writers at EHS. We welcome all types of writing for both academic and personal endeavors and look forward to serving as many individuals as possible in the upcoming school year.
