Synchronized swimming is a challenging combination of swimming, gymnastics, dancing, and cheer, all done in the pool, without touching the bottom! Within the season, swimmers will learn at least one routine with other swimmers that are at the same skill level. Swimmers will participate in figure meets and routine meets, and everyone regardless of prior experience will participate at the Section meet in May. Synchronized Swimming is a unique sport that you are never too old to learn. Many of our swimmers come into the season with little to no experience. Our goals are to make every swimmer who comes to Edina Synchro a better swimmer by the end of the season no matter what level they started at.
Edina Synchro is an amazing way to build lifelong friendships and have fun while learning a new sport! New swimmers will be paired with veteran swimmers in our "synchro sisters" tradition. "Synchro Sisters" will support each other at meets, and practices, as well as build a friendship throughout the season.
Edina Synchro has been in existence since 1959. From 1959-1975, it was a highly competitive club but has evolved into a no-cut sport that is a great place for any girl to belong, yet remains rigorous and competitive within the state.
