Create a new email route (Console)

Console > CX > Email Configuration > Create a new email route (Console)

This article explains how to create a new email route in Console.

Steps

1. Log into Console at console.avaya.cx.

2. Navigate to CX > Email Configuration.

3. Click +New Email Route in the top-right corner of the screen.

4. Enter the email address you want to route and which queue or workflow you want it to be routed to. Then, click the Submit button.

You will automatically be taken to the configuration page for the email route.

Note: If the email address is not part of a previously-verified domain, a verification email will be sent to the email address you entered from notifications@avaya.cx.

5. After you click the Submit button, an email will be sent to the email address you provided for verification purposes (if you’ve not used an email address on that domain previously). Verify the email address before proceeding.

6. In Console, click Email Configuration to return to the Email Configuration page and check the verification status of your email.

A verified email will have a green checkmark. An unverified email will have a red x and a Resend button for resending the verification email.

7. Once verified, select the email route.

8. Copy the address in the Email Routing Address field.

9. Configure your company’s email account settings to forward email to the email routing address that you copied. Once configured, emails made to that email address will route to the queue or workflow you selected. Refer to your email provider’s documentation on how to forward emails.

Note: Verification codes will be sent to the queue or workflow you selected.
