Every stakeholder has a critical role to play in advancing the democratization effort. Key stakeholder groups—teachers, researchers, philanthropies, policy makers, parents and students—can mobilize support within their communities to promote the four guiding principles through tangible action and implementation strategies.
The implementation strategies include those for the:
Research community because of its important role in producing research evidence
Philanthropic community because of its role in field-building
Educator community for its leading-edge role in education reform and improvement
Additional strategies will be developed in partnership with other stakeholder groups who have a vested interest in and responsibility for decision making in education.
