Who are we ? How did we come to be? What does it mean to be a staff and student of Edgefield? What are our hopes, dreams and challenges as we race into the future ? How do we imagine ourselves as a school?
As the school moves into high gear to celebrate her 20th Anniversary in 2021, the e-Open House Working Committee has set up this Virtual Heritage Gallery, centred on the theme,"Reflect, Connect & Imagine."
Drawing on archival materials, each memory route weaves its own narrative about the relationship between the school and those who have passed and will pass through her doors.
The team behind this project adopts the mind of a Historian. Click here to find out more about their work in archival and documentation work.
Edgefield Primary School commenced operation in 2002. We are the first primary school in the Punggol 21 Estate. Back in 2002 when we took our first batch of students, we had just 200 students and 25 staff. Under the leadership of the founding Principal, Mrs Sabrina James, the school quickly transformed herself into a conducive and vibrant learning environment, emphasizing not just on academic excellence, but on social, moral and leadership development. Our pioneer batch of P6 pupils obtained 100% passes in the 2013 PSLE. "As a school, we believe in equipping our students with the knowledge and skills that they will need to succeed in this VUCA environment. Learning is a necessity and the capability to learn is the only sustainable competitive advantage in the future. Learning by understanding is strongly advocated in Edgefield with teachers skilfully orchestrating the design of curricula, instruction and assessments to promote ‘Joy for Learning’.

Contributed by Jasmin Quek, HOD MTLEvery Edgefielder who dons the uniform belongs to a community of close-knitted learners. A change of uniform was effected in 2011 for two reasons. Firstly, the change allowed students to feel more comfortable due to the dri fit materials used. Secondly, it was in response to changes in the PE curriculum.

Contributed by Loi Wei Ling, SH/AestheticsThe school adopts the dolphin as its mascot. Dolphins are well- known throughout history for their courage, self-confidence, virtue and strength to endure tumultuous waters. The stories of dolphins saving people from drowning or shark attacks are well documented. Like dolphins, our students will grow up to be confident, compassionate and diligent children who would be stalwarts of our nation.
