Welcome Back Strom Thurmond High School!
I hope your summer has gone well and everyone has stayed healthy! I did not do anything out of the ordinary: went to a friend's pool occasionally, read a few books, did some running in the mornings and just hung around the house. I have also been doing a lot of yard work: mowing the lawn, planting perennials (plants that come back each spring), putting down pine straw, staining outdoor woodwork.
One day I pray we are all back to normal!
I have two cats, also. Taz, short for Tasmanian Devil, is completely black with huge yellow eyes. He's a punk. The dog is afraid of him. My other cat, Bella, is an oldie but a goody. She likes to spend time INSIDE my sofa. She feels safe in there. Taz likes to chase after dog treats, then bring them back to me so I can toss them again. Rooney, the dog is part German Shepherd and part Anatolian Shepherd.
I have three grown children that went to STHS, too, and all have graduated from college. Will is an artist and woodworking in Kansas City, MO. Jake is the manager and barista at the Irmo Starbucks. Molly has her PhD in analytical chemistry and works for a pharmaceutical company in Columbia.

REMOTE STHS LIBRARY
As the 2020-2021 school year progresses, it is my hope to have a virtual library of sorts. I will be offering e-books for "check-out", book talks via Screencastify and some remote lessons on research and how to use the "card catalog" to find reading materials from your chromebooks. I will have a Google Classroom like your teachers and plan to make it accessible through your teacher. BOLO!
