How to update chromebooks

As of 10/9/17 The newest chromebook version should be 61.0.3163.120

*Depending on what version your chromebook is currently as to what you will see for updates. It will be one of the below mentioned directions.

To update your Silver Samsung chromebook:

1. Click on your account photo (lower right hand corner).
2. Click on the settings icon that looks like a gear (lower left hand corner).
3. Click on About Chrome OS (at top in middle).
4. Under "Google Chrome OS," click Check for and apply Updates.
5. The update will start automatically.

To update your Black Dell chromebook:

1. Click on your account photo (lower right hand corner).
2. Click on the settings icon that looks like a gear (lower left hand corner).
3. Click on the Hamburger looking icon (3 lines on top of each other – upper right hand corner)
4. Click on About Chrome OS
5. Click on Check for updates
6. The update will start automatically.

You need to restart your computer once update is complete
