MEDIA SPECIALIST
Ms. Shannon Petty
I graduated from Augusta State University with a Bachelor’s in Biology and from Georgia Southern University with a Master’s in Instructional Technology. This is my 9th year at Douglas Elementary as Media Specialist and my 21st year in education. I taught for 12 years as a high school science teacher (Biology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Chemistry and Physical Science). I grew up in Augusta, Georgia and moved around quite a bit after graduating from college. I have one daughter and currently reside in Trenton. My hobbies are fishing, nature excursions, traveling and shopping at thrift stores. My favorite children's book is Stellaluna by Janell Cannon.
