About Me

My name is Mary Bates. I am a native of Edgefield, SC. and graduated from Strom Thurmond High School in 1993 and then attended USC-Aiken to earn a Bachelors in Secondary English. In 2015, I earned a Master's in Education Technology from USC-Aiken.

My favorite hobby is spending time with my two sons and husband. Family brings me balance and a multitude of experiences.

Teaching brings me joy and allows me to see the world in different perspectives.
