Race to stop Racism

Casual Racism

Casual Racism, one form of racism. It refers to conduct involving negative stereotypes or prejudices about people on the basis of race, colour or ethnicity.

Examples include jokes, off-handed comments, and exclusion of people from social situations on the basis of race.[1]

Casual racism is often overlooked in Singapore. From schools, workplaces to customer services in Singapore, there are many instances where people do not know that their reactions, whether it's their expressions or their words, could be considered as racism.
