Model United Nations, also known as MUN, is an educational simulation of UN (United Nations) meetings, where students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and how the UN works.
Why MUNBricks?
The name MUNBricks was inspired by the school logo, that much like the school's objective, believes that this event is made to create future leaders that will change the world.
MUNBricks History
Model United Nations, or MUN, was a project brought to Escola do Futuro having its first event in the year of 2021. Curated by the Language Arts, History, and Math teachers, the MUNBricks, has been successful since then.
The enthusiasts of the Model United Nations school have taken part in a total of 11 events over the past few years, visiting many schools, making new friends, participating, honing their debating talents, and undoubtedly winning numerous prizes. MUNBricks' initial and second editions were among these occasions.
The second one was bigger and better. Students from all over the country came to Escola do Futuro’s MUN, experiencing a very special event in which the goal was to widen our views about how the project works. We focus on pursuing the same objective this year.
Our EDF's MUN Core Team is growing this year, with instructors Roberta Yamamoto Peçanha, Rafaela Magalhes França Beschizza, and math teacher Vitor Ferreira de Souza, as well as Pauline Fernandez Kotai our President of the General Assembly, from 12th Grade, Heloisa Nobile Parpinelli our Secretary of the General Assembly, Julia Mie our Staff Under- Secretary, Lucas Genovez our Logistics Under-Secretary-General, from 11th Grade, Maria Camila Goulão our Press Under-Secretary-General, and Guilherme Marques our Crisis Under-Secretary-General, from 12th Grade.
