During this lesson, we learning how to subrtract number from 10. I created all of the worksheets and laminated them and gave the student play-dough that they could roll up into 10 little balls and then whatever number they were subtracting is what they would smash. I feel like this lesson plan shows my ability to plan becuase I had an assessmnet that was hands on and then based off what they discovered form the acitivty, they would then write it on a handout.
During the lesson, we were introducing fractions. I chose to do this through a read aloud which was something that they were not used to doing. This lesson plan shows my ability to plan a integrated math lesson while including reading and having the students show their creativity by coming up with their own fraction after we finished reading with the same figures that was used in the read aloud.
During this lesson, we were learning about making predictions. I started the lesson by asking them if they knew what predicitons were and then we discussed the anchor chart that I made. Then after that I had the students look at the front and back cover of the book and make their own prediciton about what they thought was going to happen in the story and then draw a picture to match. Overall I felt like I planned this lesson very well becuase it asked higher level questions to keep the students engaged and intereste
