Use single words or short phrases. If you type in a sentence or question like you might in Google, it will find only articles that use that exact phrase. Think about the key words, eg. plagiarism, students, prevention
Use and to combine keywords and phrases

- Canada and foreign policy
Use truncation (an asterisk) and wildcards (usually a question mark or exclamation point).
- child* and education and France (brings up child, children, childhood, and any other word that starts with the root "child.")
- prevent* and plagiarism
- globali?ation (brings up items with the words globalization or globalisation)
Use the word OR inside parentheses.
- (AIDS or HIV) and (television or movies or motion pictures)
- (teen* or adolescen*) and (girl* or female) and aggression.
Use your results to broaden or narrow your search.
