Mrs. Karr

Hello! I am Mrs. Karr. I was born and raised right here in our hometown of Elko. I am passionate about teaching and love working at Southside where I have been my whole teaching career of 17 years. I am married to my husband of 15 years and we have a 10 year old son. My family and I own four local businesses in the heart of downtown and enjoy meeting new people that travel through the area. I love spending time with my family, being outdoors, riding in the hills, jet skiing on the lake, working in the flower garden, playing sports and overall living an active life style. I am so excited to get to know you and be your 4th grade teacher. Go Southside Wolves!!

Miss Meadows

Hello! I am Miss Meadows and I am one of four amazing fourth grade teachers here at Southside Elementary. I was born and raised in Nevada. I moved to Elko last year from Winnemucca where I taught Special Education in 3rd and 4th grade. During my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with my 3 dogs and reading as many books as I can find. I look forward to a new year and getting to know each and every one of you!

Mrs. Johns

Hello, I am Mrs. Johns. I would like to introduce myself to you and your family. I have lived in Elko since the age of 5. I received my k-12 education from local schools and was lucky to have amazing teachers that inspired me to become a teacher myself. I have taught at Southside Elementary for 10 years now and I love being a Southside Wolf. I am married with two wonderful amazing children and a very spoiled cat! I love to take road trips, read good books, eat good food and never pass up a hot cup of coffee. I am looking forward to meeting you all and having a GREAT school year!

Mrs. Carsrud

Hello! I am Mrs. Carsrud and I can't wait to meet you! I was born and raised in Idaho, and moved to Elko, in 2007. I consider myself a life long learner and have never stopped adding to my education. I have my National Board Certification and I am currently working on a Reading Endorsement. This will be my 19th year as an elementary school teacher. I am married and together my husband and I have five children. I love the outdoors and in the summer time you can find me hiking, biking, and boating with my family.
