Repairs

If you have questions about repairs, please feel free to contact Mr. Hansen about band instruments and Mrs. Hansen about orchestral string instruments.

At some point, your student's instrument will need repair. Instruments should be taken in for service yearly to prevent large costly repairs down the road. Yearly service will typically include cleaning, lubing, adjustments, and replacement of any worn parts. Instruments should not be repaired at home. The design of the instrument and the use of soft materials to facilitate resonance make repair highly specialized in both skill and tools.

Mr. Hansen will provide minor repairs to band instruments if possible and if time permits.
