Student Responsibilities
Cooperative Education student responsibilities include:
All co-op students will be responsible for any additional classroom assignments required by their instructor.
All co-op students are responsible for submitting completed time sheets twice monthly. Time sheets are due in the cooperative education office within five days of the end of the time period. Students who do not turn in time sheets within the five day period, may be withdrawn from the co-op program and re-enrolled in the classroom.
Any co-op student terminated during their work assignment for any reason must notify the cooperative education coordinator immediately upon termination. If the student is terminated, the student must return to the classroom the next day after termination.
Any co-op student who leaves a co-op work assignment for any reason must notify the cooperative education coordinator immediately upon leaving. The student must return to the classroom the next day.
Graduation or Completion of Work Assignment
The main goal and objective of the Cooperative Education Program is to provide students with related work experience while they are obtaining their certificates. Therefore, it is strictly the employer’s decision if the student is retained after the completion of the program. GSTC assumes no responsibilities for this decision.
