Micah Roland serves as the Director of Choral Studies and Literary Coordinator at Osborne High School in Marietta, GA, within the Cobb County School District, marking his 13th year as a dedicated high school choral music educator. Previously, he held the position of a high school choral music director in his hometown of Pensacola, FL, for nine years. Throughout his career, Mr. Roland's choirs consistently earned superior ratings in vocal assessments and were invited to perform at prestigious venues such as Disney Candlelight at Epcot and Carnegie Hall. Mr. Roland attended Florida A&M University, where he was a featured tenor soloist in the renowned Concert Choir. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music performance with a teaching specialization from The University of West Florida, a master’s degree in music education with a focus on choral conducting from Mississippi State University, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in music education at Auburn University. Actively engaged in the music community, Mr. Roland is a dedicated member of the American Choral Directors Association, where he recently served as the Repertoire and Resources chair of ethnic and world music for the southern region. Additionally, he is a member of the National Association for Music Educators, Georgia Music Educators Association, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Born to retired Escambia County Public School educators, R. Maurice and Marilyn Roland, Mr. Roland is the brother of current ECPS educator Ms. Maurica Roland and takes pride in being the father of Micaila Roland.
Cynthia Domulot, from Hattiesburg, MS, has been performing as a pianist and vocalist in the local area as well as throughout the U.S. and abroad for many years. She was a music director/band leader for Celebrity Cruises, sailing out of New York and Miami, which included performing with and arranging music for numerous guest artists on the ship circuit and spent several years as a full-time professional musician before starting a teaching career in Florida. During the course of her performing career she has worked with notable artists such as saxophonists Plas Johnson and Bob Sheppard, the Hal Galper Trio, Duke Ellington vocalist Lil Greenwood, vocalist Giacomo Gates, the Cab Calloway band, James Brown drummer John "Jabbo" Starks, woodwind artist Charlie DeChant, trumpeters Doc Severinsen and Wayne Bergeron, bassist Steve Gilmore and former Stravinsky pianist and coach to the stars- Pearl Kauffman. She continues to perform regularly and is active with Jazz Pensacola, Mobile MOJO Jazz Society and has performed with Pensacola and Northwest Florida Symphonies, Pensacola Little Theatre, Choral Society of Pensacola, and served as Artistic Director of the Gulf Coast Chorale. She holds a B.A. in Instrumental Music Education, has taught in Escambia County for 18 years as both a band and choral director and currently serves at Tate High School as choral director, class piano instructor and performing arts department chair. Cynthia continues to work as a freelance studio session player and performs in venues and music festivals along the Gulf Coast with her jazz trio “The Guffman Trio” and quartet “The Dharma Beats” co-founded with husband/drummer Fred Domulot. She is the recipient of 2023 Blues Angel Music Foundation Escambia County School District Music Educator of the Year.
Djembe/Drums: Fred Domulot, from Groton, Connecticut, has performed, toured and recorded with international artists such as Pacific St. Records founder and pianist Eric Doney, bassist Will Lee, and GRP artist Scott Jarrett. He has performed with artists such as guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, pianist John Coliani, Jeff Lorber, guitarist/vocalist Junior Marvin of The Wailers, vocalist Kevin Mahogany, Blue Note artist Bob Dorough, bassist Roberto Vally, the Harry James orchestra featuring Art Depew, multi-instrumentalist Ira Sullivan, Doc Severinsen, vocalist Jo Belle, trombonist Phil Wilson, clarinetist Buddy DeFranco, Rich Matteson, saxophonist Bob Sheppard,bassist Steve Gilmore, Duke Ellington vocalist Lil Greenwood, trumpeter Longineu Parsons, Giacomo Gates, saxophonist Art Sherrod Jr., the Frank Stallone Big Band, Champian Fulton, and the legendary Clark Terry. He is a prolific songwriter and lyricist and continues to collaborate with award winning songwriters from the East and West Coast. He is currently on staff as Professor of Percussion and Jazz Band/Jazz Workshop Director at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida, is the music teacher and band director at the Montessori School of Pensacola and continues to work as a professional musician and freelance studio session player. His professional affiliations include Florida Collegiate Music Educators Association, Jazz Education Network, Film Musicians Secondary Markets Fund, and the American Federation of Musicians Union #389. He is endorsed by Agner Drumsticks, Dream Cymbals and Taye Drums.
Local musician, Marcus Gillard will be playing bass.
