Meet the Librarian

Hi Brentwood Cubs!!! My name is Mrs. Wiley and I am your School Librarian at Brentwood Elementary. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida and I earned my Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Florida State University (GO NOLES!). I have completed certifications in Elementary Education, ESE, and Media Specialist with endorsements for Reading and ESOL. This is my eleventh year teaching and the past eight years as a Media Specialist. My favorite part about working in the school library is seeing students get excited about books!

I was born in Pensacola and spent most of my life here, except for about ten years following my husband around in the Navy. My husband and I have two grown daughters, Olivia is a computer programmer in Tallahassee, and Abigail is a student at UWF and works part-time at Publix. The rest of our family includes two spoiled cats, Mittens and Oreo.

During some of my free time, I work part-time at the West Florida Public Libraries in the reference department. The rest of my free time I enjoy kayaking, hiking, camping out in the woods, and reading.
