About Me:

Hello! I am Mr. Desarme. I am a 4th year social studies teacher in the Ellenville Central School District. I very much enjoy hikes, gardening, comedy, and of course, history. I also enjoy playing and watching a variety of sports including basketball, football, and soccer.

I believe in fair and equal treatment, and I strive my best to make sure all of my students know they are valued ad respected. My classroom is one where we can have honest discussions and learn to respect the values and opinions of others. I look forward to getting to know all students, parents, and colleagues this year!

Students should arrive on time and be prepared for each day. They should have a positive mind set and be respectful to all.

Policies

Homework Policy

Homework assigned in Google Classroom must be submitted by no later than 12 PM on the date due.

Assignments collected in class must be submitted when class meets on the due date.

Any assignment that is given as classwork becomes homework and is due at the start of the next class if not finished in class on the day assigned.

Grading Policy

Late assignments will have 10 points deducted for each school day after the due date. If there are extenuating circumstances, parents/guardians may contact me by phone at extension 417 or by email, or may contact your child's guidance counselor.

The grade will be calculated as follows.

Tests/Essays/Projects- 30%
Classwork/Homework- 30%
Quizzes- 20%
Effort & Participation- 20%
