Students are required to complete 1200 minutes of lab time and all 4 of the State Labs during the school year. This requirement allows students to be eligible to take the Regents in June. If you have any question about this requirement, please contact me at the high school at ext. 502.

After school help and lab make-up time will be offered at the Extended Day Program on Monday - Friday, 2:45 pm until 3:45 pm in room 435 in the high school. In this program, students can get the extra help they need to be successful in Math and Science.

Arrive on time to class and be prepare to work.
No technology (phones and ear buds) in the classroom, unless directions are given that day to use them.
No eating in the lab or classroom area.
Be courteous and respectful to each other.
Be responsible for your own learning.
Follow directions when given or for the procedure of a lab.
Read carefully and ask good questions when needed.
Minimize distractions and focus on the lesson for the day.

Suggestions for Success
Students should arrive on time and be prepared for class each day. Students should be willing to participate and work, not look for an excuse to miss class, and be respectful to their classmates. It is extremely important that students leave class knowing what their homework is each day, and what their responsibilties are as a student for that week.

Homework Policy
Homework Policy
Students have one pure homework assignment each week. On the date that the homework is due, the homework needs to be handed in during the 1st 2-3 minutes of class. If the homework is handed in at the end of the period there is a 10 point deduction. If the homework is handed in the next day, there is an additional 10 point deduction. Every day that the homework or lab is late there is an additional 10 point deduction.

Our Academic Management System, SchoolTool, offers the SchoolTool Parent Portal. Parent Portal gives parents access to monitor their children's progress in school and provides a way for parents to get secure online information about their children.
