Fab-Nat is the new design and manufacturing service on the Campus des Nations. Its aim is to unleash the creative potential of students, teachers and administrative staff by enabling them to bring real models, objects or services to life, by pooling the resources already available on campus (Design labs, CAD, DTP, laser cutting, 3D printing, etc.).
The Fab-Nat also aims to facilitate innovation and enrich the learning environment for students by creating links between the various members of the educational community. The Fab-Nat also federates and encourages interdisciplinary projects such as STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) by linking together the various multidisciplinary skills while eliminating the technical aspect of the projects.
In practical terms, when a student, teacher or department submits a request, a feasibility study is carried out by the laboratory to assess the viability of the project from different angles (educational relevance and material possibilities).
Once the request has been validated, the user is supported and guided through the various phases of the project, from design to manufacture.
