Each year the SMART Notebook license has to be renewed in order to keep running. The steps below outline what you need to do to have SMART Notebook go out and check for a license renewal for your district. These instructions only apply if SMART Notebook has already been activated on your device once before. Locate the program called "SMART Product Update". You will need to click the Windows Button and search for this application.
Once you have it open click "Manage" next to the SMART Notebook line item.
You will see your keys under "Product Keys" and these shouldn't change from year to year. On this screen you will click on the product key that has expired and then click on "Manage Selected Product Key".
On this screen, make sure you select "Check for product key renewals and apply them."
Click on "Next" and wait for SMART Notebook to go out and check the status of the product key.
If you were successful you will see this dialog box that indicates the operation has been completed successfully. You may now start the SMART Notebook software again and it should be licensed until the next renewal period.
