Worked on a project titled “Study of Olive-oil loaded chitosan/carrageenan coacervate and its antibacterial properties” .

• Tezpur University, Assam PhD, 2015-2020, Organometallic Chemistry

Worked on a thesis entitled “Imidazole Based Ruthenium(II)para-Cymene and Dicationic Palladium(II) Precatalysts for Oxidative Transformation, Hydroxylation and Hydroxyalkylation Reactions”.

 My field of research is Organic Synthesis. I have worked on the design and synthesis of organic compounds(including heterocycles), their purification (column chromatography) and characterization via NMR and ESI-MS spectroscopy. 

Another area of my research includes Organometallic chemistry. I have worked on the synthesis and characterization of metal complexes (Ruthenium and Palladium), isolation of their intermediated under oxidizing conditions and their applications in various organic reactions including oxidation, reduction and C-H activation reactions. In course of my research, the various analytical techniques used are UV visible spectroscopy, Fluorescence, FT-IR, NMR spectroscopy, Single crystal X-ray, ESI-MS and GC-MS. 

• Pfizer Healthcare India Private Limited, Post-doctorate Fellow, 2020-2021, Organic Chemistry

Worked on API and impurity synthesis. Responsible for literature survey, route selection, retrosynthetic study, stage-gate preparation and review, route and yield optimization of reactions, scale-up, safety, analytical study for various projects – Misoprostol, Palbociclib, Abrocitinib.
