The prevalence and characterization of Antibiotic- resistant bacteria in the waste water system and their environmental fate. From: IISER Kolkata, Supervisor: Professor Punyasloke Bhadury Method used: Antibiotic susceptibility test & MIC, Biofilm assay, Plasmid DNA extraction, PCR, Gel electrophoresis,16s rRNA sequencing, Phylogenetic Tree interpretation Result: To analyze the Antibiotic resistance profile all strains were found to have high MIC value. Based on MIC value, 16s rRNA sequencing data & Phylogenetic Tree Interpretation identify the closest taxa of 2 Antibiotic resistant strain & 2 Multi drug resistant pathogenic strain.
