I was born and raised in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. I attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where I studied under harpist Patricia Terry-Ross and earned my bachelor's degree in Instrumental Music Education. In 2019 I was offered my dream job and moved across the country. I now live in Odessa with my cats Orpheus and Eurydice, and teach harp at Odessa High School, Bowie Middle School, and Milam Magnet Elementary.
My unique journey into the harp world began at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Muskegon, Michigan. I went to the camp as a violin major during middle school and was provided the opportunity to minor in harp. After a week and a half of beginner lessons for an hour of day, I was already in love. Two summers later, the camp invited me to fill a space as a harp major. When I came home, I started taking private lessons and the rest is history.
I expanded my skills during university as a student of the Salzedo harp method and performed locally for weddings and events, and with the local youth orchestras.
