Book Fairs
Traditionally, the Austin Montessori Library hosts two book fairs during each school year: one in the fall and another in the spring. During these week-long fairs, the Library is filled with colorfully decorated displays of a wide assortment of books. If they have their teacher’s permission, students may come to a book fair to shop or simply to browse, provided they demonstrate Montessori principles of good behavior. Parents are invited to attend the book fairs during posted times. These festive occasions are designed to help everyone build their home libraries while simultaneously fostering their love of reading.
