HOW TO JOIN THE HERITAGE BAND

Incoming 6th, 7th, & 8th grade are all welcome to join the band!  The 6th grade is the ideal time to band, but if you are joining as a 7th or 8th grader, that's no problem at all.  Seventh and 8th grade students who advance fast enough by the end of the fall semester may possibly be moved into a concert band.

1. Decide if BAND is right for you.  The band program at Heritage Middle School is outstanding in every way and it's a great organization to be a part of.  It's okay if you're not completely sure what to play.  Look around our website, email the directors if you have questions and talk to older students in band.

2. Select BAND as your #1 elective choice on your Heritage enrollment form.

3. Watch the videos below of each instrument to hear what they look and sound like.  Choose the three instruments you're most interested in playing.  All the instruments are are unique and fun to play!

4. Complete the BAND FORECASTING Google Form below the instrument videos.  The band directors will use the information to help you select an instrument and contact parents as needed.

5. We will schedule days and times for instrument "Test Drives"
