First of all: I want to formally congratulate The Hearsay, once again, on winning ECG Production's Free Music Video Contest! Your video was far and away the best, and we immediately connected with your band's vibe and aural aesthetic. It's a big win, and we're looking forward to making this music video look and feel amazing!
Secondly, take a second and take this in, people! This has been a long time coming. You've played a ton of shows, garnered the attention and praise of a community, and worked your asses off to get here. Oh, and you've just happened to make some KICKASS music along the way. Think of this experience and the resulting video as the culmination of all your hard work.
To me, "Warning Signs" is a track that oozes with some of the most poignant sentiments from a relationship gone awry: a sense of betrayal; disbelief at not being able to predict this outcome; frustration at the fact that, despite all your partner's shortcomings, you're still entranced by them. These themes are both universal yet palpably personal, and that's what makes this song so ripe for being made into a music video.
All of the following treatment options bring these themes to the forefront, while also allowing the goofy yet relatable persona of The Hearsay as a whole to shine through. Once you have settled on a specific concept, we will workshop the final details to ensure that we have all our ducks in a row before heading into final production.
Sound good?
Alright: ready...set...GO!!
