Theme: yes! We Can End TB

   In the context of World Tuberculosis Day, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering conducted a talk show led by Kabileshwaran M 2nd year CSE. 

    The event commenced with World TB Day message by Abhijit V HOD of CSE .In his message, he said that the objective of commemorating this day is to create awareness among the students about the causes of TB and methods to eliminate TB. He emphasized the need to quit consumption of illegal tobacco products. 

     Each year, World TB Day is celebrated with a specific theme to spread awareness. Recent themes focus on eliminating TB globally and improving access to treatment and care.

In the talk show,  Kabileshwaran M introduced to the audience TB, its causes and symptoms. He discussed the research opportunities in developing CXR (chest X-ray) devices enabling the use of Artificial Intelligence. AI devices can support early detection of TB.

       World Tuberculosis Day is observed every year on March 24 to raise awareness about tuberculosis (TB), a serious infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs. The day commemorates the discovery of the TB-causing bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis
