Miss Dawn, Director, PreK teacher - Miss Dawn originally started at ECDC in 1998, though took a few years off after each of her children were born. She has been teaching preschool for over 20 years and has a Bachelor' Degree in Early Childhood Education. This is her 4th year as the Director at ECDC. She loves animals, enjoys volunteering in her community, and spending time with her family.
Miss Krista, Assistant Director, PreK teacher - Miss Krista first started at ECDC as a parent in 2005. She joined the staff in 2009. She has a degree in Spanish, and has taken many post-graduate courses in early childhood education. In addition, Miss Krista has spent time working and volunteering in integrated preschool classrooms, and public school Kindergarten classes. She especially enjoys spending time outdoors with the children exploring nature.
Miss Nikki, PreK and Enrichment teacher - Miss Nikki studied early childhood education in college. She has been teaching children for over 20 years. In addition to teaching PreK, she also spends time teaching in the Walpole Public Schools where she has gained valuable experience working with a diverse population of children. Miss Nikki especially enjoys introducing new science concepts to the children.
Miss Sue, Transition teacher - Miss Sue (and her guitar, Tom!) joined ECDC in 2007. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching children for almost 30 years. Miss Sue is also an accomplished guitar player and accompanies the children at all of our holiday sing alongs, and graduation. She particularly enjoys doing music and creative movement activities with the children.
Miss Elizabeth, Transition and Enrichment teacher - Miss Elizabeth started at ECDC as a parent in 2013 and loved volunteering in her son's and daughter’s classes so much that she went back to school to get her certification in early education so she could become a preschool teacher. She has a degree in Psychology and continues to take courses in early childhood education. Miss Elizabeth especially enjoys playing with the children in the various Dramatic Play areas, encouraging the children’s imaginations to run wild!
Miss Katy, Preschool teacher - Miss Katy started at ECDC as a parent in 2013. Both of her children had such wonderful experiences growing, learning and preparing for Kindergarten that she joined our teaching staff! She has a Master's degree in elementary education and 10 years' experience of teaching both at the elementary and preschool level. When she's not teaching at ECDC, she helps run her family's business and volunteers in her children's classrooms. Miss Katy particularly enjoys reading stories and doing art with her students!
Miss Christina, Preschool teacher - Miss Christina, also began with ECDC as a parent when her son attended in 2015! Miss Christina has a degree in Education and Psychology. She 15 years of teaching experience - from infant, to preschool, and all the way up to elementary school. In addition to teaching at ECDC, she spends time helping her husband with his busy restaurants, gardening, helping in her son's third grade class, and volunteering in the PreK class, which her daughter attends! She especially enjoys working with children to support their early literacy skills and really enjoys a good story time and gets excited about project based curriculum- especially when it's inspired by the kids themselves!
