When Students Return April 5

Things to know when all students return together four days a week (M/T/TH/F) starting April 5.

Quarantine Guidelines

- - After April 5 quarantine periods will go back to being 14 days. We cannot guarantee that a student returning after 7 days, with a negative test, or a student who is out for 10 days, will be 6ft from others.
  - If your child is sent home due to COVID-19 symptoms, all other siblings will be required to be picked up. The building secretary will contact other school if siblings attend another elementary school and/or middle or high school. The child sent home may return to school, along with all siblings, if a COVID-19 taken and is negative.

Masking

- - All staff and students are required to wear masks.
  - All masks should cover the nose and mouth and fits snugly against the sides of the face.

SPRING BREAK - All Schools Closed

APR 5 - MONDAY

APR 6 - TUESDAY

RCU Day - All Cohort D (A & B) Students will deposit on Tuesdays, Cohort C can make deposits at a RCU

APR 7 - WEDNESDAY

Virtual Learning for all Cohorts - Teachers will check in with all students in the afternoon
Forward Exam for Grade 4 in Cohort C - testing will be held at Northwoods, student arrival starts at 8:30am

~Coming Together~

Starting the week of April 5th, Sherman Elementary will have a weekly focus until the end of the year. We developed this to celebrate the cohorts combining and also to promote a sense of community.

All activities are optional for teachers and families. We hope this gives everyone something to look forward to for the rest of the school year.

Cohort C Families

Grade 4 students in Cohort C will begin testing when we return from break.

*If your child is to return to the building April 5 they will test with their new class.

Cohort C:

Testing will be administered by your student's virtual teacher

Grade 4 - Testing will be held on April 7 & April 14 at Northwoods
Grade 3 - Testing will be held on April 21 at Sherman

ECASD 2021-22 School Year Calendar

APRIL 16 - Materials Pick up for Cohort C, 7:30-8:30am or 12-1pm, Door 10
APRIL 19-27 - Forward Exam for Cohort A & B Grades 3-5
APRIL 21 - Forward Exam Cohort C - Grade 3, held at Sherman
MAY 31 - All Schools Closed, Memorial Day
