With the guidance of their teacher, Ms. Tomara Espinoza, students at Merrydale Elementary built "Energy Machines" to demonstrate the transfer of energy. Ms. Bonnie Chelette, Technology Facilitator for Technology Integration, was there to witness and record the videos in slow motion to analyze the chain reaction.

GOOGLE EXPEDITIONS
Southdowns' Pre-K and K students went on many adventures around the world! With the use of virtual reality, they were able to visit many places many of us would love to see up close.
Ms. Lahasky's class(es) learned about festivals around the world and took a VR field trip to see a Chinese New Year celebration, Diwali in India, and the North Pole for Christmas.
Mrs. Henry's class(es) studied underwater habitats and they "visited" the Galapagos Islands, the Great Barrier Reef, and went up close to a Whale Shark.
