Department of Leadership Development and School Improvement Mission
Leading through an equity lens, the Department of Leadership Development and School Improvement Team strategically collaborates, coaches, and consults with school leaders to improve first, data-informed instruction to increase student achievement and empowerment. Additionally, we offer multiple distinct leadership preparation programs, which provide aspiring school leaders the opportunity to develop alongside an experienced and successful school leader.

Supporting administrators prioritize and create instructional coherence to develop high expectations and equitable opportunities.
Identifying best practices and supporting improvements for administrators and ILT teams to meet their needs to yield meaningful impact and change for their school communities.
Analyzing student, teacher, and school data to improve Tier I instruction as well as school processes, procedures, and systems.
Designing and coordinating the delivery of leadership professional development to ensure current and aspiring administrators have the knowledge and skills to be successful in their jobs and prepared for career pathways.
Developing the selection criteria for each leadership program and overseeing the selection process for the participants, using the definitions of leader excellence as a guide.
Planning strategically with school leaders using the continuous improvement process
Facilitating professional development on best instructional practices for high-impact leader and teacher actions.
Providing schools with high-quality feedback through instructional rounds and peer observations.
Planning, analyzing, and evaluating lessons and unit plans in PLCs.
