"The creative arts are the measure and reflection of our civilization. They offer many children an opportunity to see life with a larger perspective...The moral values we treasure are reflected in the beauty and truth that is emotionally transmitted through the arts. The arts say something about us to future generations."

–Ann P. Kahn, Former President of The National PTA

ABOUT ME

As a member of the Proud Mustang Family, I have had the pleasure of shaping the lives of young people as a music teacher and advocate for the arts for over 25 years!

I hold a Bachelor of Music degree (voice performance) and a Master of Music degree (voice performance) from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL). Further studies in music include Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) and Indiana University (Bloomington, IL).

My education motto is “Bring The Arts Forward”. As a singer/songwriter myself, I feel it is imperative that I share my talents through teaching in the Arts because The Arts help to shape and develop the WHOLE Child and consequently the Adult Lifelong Learner.

I also have the pleasure of giving and advocating for The Arts through my roles as: Fine Arts Festival Series Program Director for the DeBose Foundation; Talented Music and Theater Evaluator for the State of Louisiana; and as a Teaching Artist through the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.
