Paul Lauve is a passionate music educator, performer, and lifelong learner dedicated to sharing the joy of music with his students. A trumpet player by training, he brings both discipline and creativity into the band room, helping young musicians grow in skill, confidence, and character. He earned his Bachelors of Music Education from LSU in 2009 and has taught Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Orchestra on the High School and Middle School level.

With 15 years of experience in the classroom and on the stage, Paul believes music is not just about notes on a page — it’s about teamwork, expression, and building a community where every voice (and instrument) matters. His approach balances high expectations with encouragement, humor, and plenty of energy to keep rehearsals both productive and enjoyable.

Outside of teaching, Mr. Lauve is a husband and father of two, a former Kung Fu practitioner, and a juggler — skills that come in surprisingly handy when directing a band. He still loves picking up his trumpet to perform and firmly believes that music should be equal parts hard work and joy.
