Parent Action Committee (PAC)

What is PAC and what do they do?

The Parent Action Committee of Glen Oaks Magnet High School "the PAC" is a group of parents from the school community who are united in:

  • Promoting education and welfare of children and youth in the home, the school and the community

  • Developing an environment where Glen Oaks and the community will work together to ensure that Glen Oaks students enjoy the best in physical, social and academic educational opportunities

  • Providing support to Glen Oaks High School as it relates to providing enrichment and building community amongst its members and students.

Every parent of Glen Oaks Magnet High School is a member of this essential committee! The Parent Action Committee is dedicated to facilitating so many of the fundraising and spirit-filled events that sustain and define GOHMS! Room Parents help to coordinate the volunteer and service activities at the classroom level to facilitate such events as our annual Teacher Appreciation Day, Grandparents Day, Coffee with the principal, socials, and more!

Parent Participation

Parental involvement is essential to the mission and the success of the school. Parents of GOHMS agree to support the school by participating in endeavors undertaken by the Parent Action Committee (PAC) and by volunteering to assist with these endeavors and projects. Community building is a shared responsibility and one that we embrace and support.
