Grading is an area of concern for everyone. There is no perfect way to access student achievement; however, grades will consist of the following:
Unit tests and quizzes
Homework, classroom assignments, group projects, and student binders
Following lab safety rules and participation in group activities
A 93 - 100
B 85 - 92
C 75 - 84
D 67 - 74
F 0 - 66
Students will be expected to attend class on a regular basis and report to class in a timely manner. Please check the student handbook regarding attendance requirements.
Students will need the following materials upon returning to school:
1 inch binder
Blue or black ink pens and pencils
Loose leaf paper
Composition Notebook for Open Sci-Ed Curriculum
A box of Kleenex
A roll of paper towels
Colored pencils
Pencil sharpener
Personal hand sanitizer
Additional supplies may be needed depending on the topic covered or for projects
Bring a positive attitude to class
Be on time and ready when the bell rings
Bring all supplies to class
Follow directions when given the first time
Respect yourself and others in the classroom

Serious violations will result in a student referral
Accommodations will be provided on a case-by-case basis with approval from the student's parents and counselor. "Accommodation" means an alteration in presentation format, response format, setting in which test is taken and timing or scheduling. The alterations do not substantially change level, content or performance criteria. The changes are made in order to provide a student equal access to learning and equal opportunity to demonstrate what is know.
The student will utilize their chromebook on a regular basis.
