Short Bio: I've been in education in various capacities for thirty years; however, none I love better than teaching. I have a Ph.D. in education and can't think of a better investment I've made in my life. No one can take a good education away from you, and I've relied on mine numerous times!
I'm not married, but I have three adult children and two grandchildren. I live with my cat Simon.
I love to read! One of my favorite authors is Anne Rice, who writes vampire novels. I love to binge watch really interesting series such as Game of Thrones. My favorite movie is Dead Poets' Society, of course, about a teacher and his students.
I'm happy to be at GOMHS! I will be teaching AP English III, Dual Enrollment, and English III. I look forward to learning about and from you!
The AP English Language and Composition course focuses on the development and revision of evidence-based analytic and argumentative writing, the rhetorical analysis of nonfiction texts, and the decisions writers make as they compose and revise. The course prepares students to take advantage of two opportunities to earn three college credits either by taking and passing the AP (Advanced Placement) exam in the spring or a CLEP (College Level Entrance Program) test when you feel you are ready. All of our work will be centered on student success on one or both of these tests.
