When the sun rises and sets it creates a pattern. The sun rises in the East and sets in the West everyday. Sunrise usually occurs around 6:00am. As the day progresses, the sun is reaches its highest point around noon or 12:00pm. The sun sets at different times depending on the changing seasons. It sets the latest in the summer, around 8:00pm, because of daylight saving time. Then, the pattern repeats again the next day.
